Hi, hi, guys! I'm gonna be away from tumblr for a little while because I'm gonna be pretty busy the coming days! And with how much I tend to procrastinate, it's my best bet to force myself to get stuff I need to do done without causing myself last minute crunches XD I might reblog stuff here and there, but if you notice I'm not very present then that would be why!

A painted comic for Naffeclipse's fanfiction "Cryptid Sightings", depicting the scene of Y/N hugging Vanessa at their reunion in chapter 20. All panels have the same background of an evergreen forest with a few buildings and a playground further back. In panel 1 Y/N hugs Vanessa, who is standing stiffly with shaking arms and crying. Sun stands behind Y/N with a gentle expression, animatronic arms folded behind his back but with one shadowy demonic arm touching Y/N's back. @naffeclipse I cannot begin to tell you how emotional I am over the CS ending - their happiness and chance at healing mean so much to me ;v;

And a small, very rough bonus that I see happening between the first two panels - someone giving Nessie that last little push to accept the affection she feels too guilty to indulge in <3

It’s still so early in his own journey right now, and we can see that in the way he thinks. He still resents that Sun and Moon seem to not be grateful for what he does, but also he has to acknowledge to himself through gritted teeth that there is an urgency to the situation that, if left up to him, will get worse. He’s just constantly fighting, with himself, with the want to argue with his brothers and with the actual antagonism that does come up inevitably. He really was just expecting Moon to lose it and fight him right there. Good thing Sun was there as the voice of reason hgfjfjdkd

Oh, looking at the current state of mind he’s in makes me think it must be so exhausting to be as calculating of everything as he is while being so inclined to just follow his immediate desires. He knows he is showing himself trustworthy by honoring what the vigilante asked for, and that’s something he wants long term, but right now with his obsession with blood all he wants is to keep them to himself. He knows his brothers are the best option aside from a hospital, and though it would probably get him in their good graces to just accept, he opposes that because of the aforementioned reasons. He wants to DO something, and stay near, but he knows due to his unhealthy obsession with blood he’ll sooner cause a problem rather than solve it.

I find it interesting that despite his still self-centered point of view, (that he barely manages to keep in check) he does seem aware that deep down what he’s been through got him pretty messed up. He knows he was fundamentally changed. Not just by what was done to him in the daycare, but what he did to make sure they all survived. As he says, its the price he paid. He knows this thing he has with blood is a direct result of that. And he definitely thinks that Sun and Moon would not understand that, that likely only y/n would.

But aaah, I love that despite being so distant, there’s still that small connection there. When Eclipse hears the footsteps, he immediately knows they’re Sun’s. He knows how to read Moon’s body language and can tell his state of mind from subtle hints on his clothes. And then there’s his brothers also knowing him. Sun knows to get him the cigar and the lighter, because despite not understanding it, he knows it helps Eclipse calm down. And Moon does get the suspicion that Eclipse isn’t doing this out of the goodness of his heart, and he is right in a way. To Eclipse it’s still a game of give and take. And what he feels he’s owed is the explanation of the aversion to hospitals. Something that I remember from a previous ask won’t come for a really long time actually.

And oh I love how despite it all he is still surprised. When Sun tells him to stay. That they need him. Eclipse doesn’t believe it. He himself deems his work here done. And that’s all it’s been between his brothers and him for so long now. Business. He hunts, they give him his pay, then he goes. They don’t talk frequently at all. But he complies anyways, and so now he has to wait and see what comes of it, even if he doesn’t think it will be anything of note.

So yes, as you can see by the previous evidence, so so normal about him XD What a treat, Naff! Aaaahh, thanks so much for continuing this, my crops are being watered! Awesome work as always! <3

Hehhee, glad you’re enjoying BH!Clip, babe! I’m excited to continue it as well! I also have to note a change I made in which Eclipse will get his answer to the vigilante’s aversion to hospitals a lot sooner rather than later, but, I would say it’s because he earned it, despite the trauma and reservations the vigilante holds with giving up a very personal detail of themselves.

He did follow through with no hospital, after all :)

Ahhh, I love how you pick up so many details and layers to Eclipse! He really loves his brothers but he also wants to fight and he wants blood but he wants trust and ahhh, it’s all very conflicting. He expects the worst. He doesn’t know what to do with himself besides what he’s been doing.

He’s doing one right thing though, even if it’s minor baby steps, he’s doing it. And slowly, he’ll get going in the right direction, carried along by the hands that love him.

AAAAAA this is so sweet! (like marshmallows!) honestly he does need to be made to take a step back from everything he needs it also my first thought at the first panels was sorry my guy but the disadvantages of being tall include 200% more of getting smacked in the face by branches XD and aaaaaa the full piece though!! It's gorgeous! I am looking so hard at the way you painted the log they're sitting on! it looks so good! also I love Eclipse is holding a marshmallow too XD he can't eat it but he can hold it for you though he can probably find a way to be a menace with it I'm sure gfkdjhsgñ
